The game in one battle plan
Wanderburg is Randwerk's single-player, minimalist medieval roguelike about fortresses that roam the battlefield. You steer a modest castle on wheels, feed it with weaker targets, and turn it into a much larger war machine over the course of a run.
The practical objective is to keep growing without picking the wrong fight: consume fleeing villages, wandering flocks, and smaller fortresses, then defeat stronger enemy castles to expand the fortress and push the run forward.
Use that loop as your risk filter for the whole run. Keep feeding on villages, flocks, and smaller fortresses while the castle is modest, and postpone powerful enemy castles. Once your moving fortress is ready, defeat a stronger castle to push its evolution forward and expand the machine before repeating the cycle.
Start with the correct release
- Open the official Wanderburg Steam product page and confirm the developer name Randwerk before you buy or install.
- Choose the paid Windows game released on September 8, 2026; that is the current playable product rather than an older demo build.
- Begin by steering toward weaker targets, collecting their resources, and leaving larger enemy fortresses until your castle has grown enough to challenge them.
