Assemble the ram package

  • Center the run on the documented ram synergy: speed, melee damage and stun effects all reinforce the same front-contact play pattern.
  • Use artifacts to deepen that plan when the run offers relevant categories. The documented artifact pool can reinforce melee damage and speed, both of which fit the ram example.
  • Use the ram’s demonstrated active-ability speed boost as part of the approach. The supplied run explicitly selects increased speed for the active ability and then uses the ram to keep accelerating into attacks.
  • Keep the wider module system available as a fallback. Barracks, mortars, mines and side cannons have different combat roles if the run stops favoring repeated front-contact attacks.

Line up, close distance, hit, then recover control

  1. Steer so the front of the fortress is aligned before committing. Turning takes time, and the front ram only helps when the castle’s orientation supports the contact you are trying to make.
  2. Choose the target before spending movement resources. The documented piloting loop includes steering, dodging, boost management, target selection and active-ability timing.
  3. Use boost or the ram active ability’s demonstrated speed increase to close distance once the approach is lined up.
  4. Make the frontal contact, then keep enough control to turn or dodge afterward. Fortress turning takes time, so the next positioning decision begins immediately after the hit.
  5. Repeat the pattern against targets that fit the run’s current strength. Small troops and villages are growth resources, while larger enemy fortresses can completely destroy you.

Current limits, patch changes and alternatives

Hotfix 0.9.8 makes Nitro regeneration start 0.5 seconds after boost use. That timing matters directly to a ram plan built around closing distance because each burst creates a documented recovery window before the next movement decision.

The same current patch evidence includes a fix for inconsistent Module Ram damage, while earlier notes improved Ram behavior. Those changes are relevant when comparing older ram impressions with the current documented build state.

When a run favors another combat role, switch to a documented alternative. Mortars provide ranged attacks, mines work behind the fortress, side cannons attack on the flanks and barracks deploy soldiers.

The core risk remains target selection. Larger enemy fortresses are capable of destroying the run, so the ram build still needs growth and positioning before attacking those castles.
