The current release status
Wanderburg entered Steam Early Access on September 8, 2026. The live product is a paid Windows game, so the release date now refers to a game that players can buy and play rather than an upcoming launch.
The announced Early Access plan is roughly six to twelve months, with more content, variety, balance work, and polish planned during development.
Why old demo advice is obsolete
| Product or milestone | What a player should know now |
|---|---|
| Wanderburg, the paid Windows game | This is the current Steam Early Access release dated September 8, 2026. |
| Wanderburg Demo, a separate Steam product | Randwerk retired the Steam demo on launch day and said the game had changed so much since March that the demo just doesn't represent the game released into Early Access. |
| Earlier official demo milestone | The official demo had launched after the studio incorporated feedback from a December playtest; the demo was later retired on the Early Access launch day. |
What to do today
- Buy or launch the current Windows release from the official Wanderburg Steam page.
- Watch for the Early Access roadmap that Randwerk said it would share soon after launch.
- For a bug, check existing reports or report the issue through the developer Discord route named in the hotfix notes.
- Use current community impressions and videos to judge the changed Early Access build instead of relying on the retired demo alone.
