Supported controller and input options
Wanderburg’s Steam listing includes Full controller support and specifically lists DualShock Controller Support and DualSense Controller Support. The product description also says the game is fully playable with mouse, keyboard or controller.
For a player deciding how to start, that gives three documented input routes: mouse, keyboard or controller. On the controller side, the store feature list names both DualShock and DualSense support in addition to the broader Full controller support label.
The useful control decision is therefore not whether controller play exists, but which documented driving behavior feels better in play. Hotfix 0.9.8 adds another controller driving style, giving controller players an additional supported way to approach fortress movement.
What hotfix 0.9.8 changed and how to test it
| Controller check | Supported player action |
|---|---|
| Alternative controller driving style | Try the newly added driving style and compare how it feels while moving the fortress. The documented change is the alternative driving style itself. |
| Existing controller support | Use the controller route already listed by Steam, including the documented DualShock and DualSense support entries, when testing the new driving behavior. |
| Mouse, keyboard, or controller | Mouse and keyboard remain documented playable options alongside controller, so the control scheme can be evaluated against the other supported input routes. |
| Developer feedback request | After trying the alternative driving style, give the developers feedback; that is the explicit action requested from controller players in the official update. |
